About me- Laura Grangeia, MD, DipABLM

Physician, Coach, Mom, Wife, Friend, Entrepreneur, Person who wants to roam in the woods

Board-Certified Emergency Medicine & Lifestyle Medicine Physician

As a human on this planet I play many roles. Above all, I love and value being a mom to my two boys whom I homeschool along with my husband, Justin. I have a strong nurturing spirit that spans across my roles as mom as well as doctor and coach. I feel my purpose in this life is to facilitate healing, growth, and empowerment in myself and others.

Professionally, I have spent over 12 years as an Emergency Medicine Physician. This experience has been invaluable in my growth professionally and personally. It was a unique and enlightening position to witness some of the most tragic parts of the human experience on a regular basis, as well as to have the opportunity to relieve pain to the suffering and provide moments of comfort amid otherwise scary and difficult experiences. Of course, it also came with many instances of having to confirm the worst fears of those for whom I was caring. It was in those moments that I was faced with my own mortality as well, knowing that this life is short, and we need to make the most of the time we have here. This realization ultimately led me to pursue the path of Lifestyle Medicine and Mind Body Medicine. I was drawn to learn more about how our thoughts, beliefs, emotions and physical bodies are all connected. My work now focuses on the connection between mind and body and how that connection can be used to free people from chronic pain and other chronic neuroplastic symptoms.

I work with people who function the way I learned to-- pushing through, achieving, holding it together, doing the most. I know this pattern from the inside, and I’ve built my work around it.

Outside of Work

I’m obsessed with my family. I think they’re the coolest. I love animals, and all living beings. I spend as much time outside as I can, and I love learning about plants and herbs. I’m almost always listening to a podcast, audiobook, or music. I’m grateful that there’s always more to learn. I love science as much as I love spirituality and wondering about the things we haven’t figured out yet. My core strength is love and my strongest values are autonomy, freedom and integrity. I believe my purpose is to facilitate health and healing, which is why I’m doing what I do.
